Did you know that you can enjoy bees and bee products right in your backyard? Urban yards (and even rooftops) are often excellent locations for beehives. In this introductory workshop, you will learn about the fascinating world of the honeybee. We will talk about what it takes to keep a busy, productive hive of bees happy; how to set up and maintain a hive; and what kind of time commitment is required. This is a beginner’s workshop, so no previous knowledge is necessary. We will end with some local honey tasting.

Fee: $25 members / $30 nonmembers.

Registration is required.
