Spring Tour de Hives

The Tour de Hives will engage, educate and enchant you with a first-hand look at honeybees in hives across the city, guided by the humans who tend them. On Sunday, June 18th, 2017, from 9am until noon, join us for a bicycle tour of apiaries in Mattapan and Jamaica Plain followed by a bring-your-own-picnic lunch at the Boston Nature Center. Come celebrate the bees with us!

Boston Nature Center Ware and Top Bar Hives: Organizer of BABA’s Bee School, Bill Perkins, will discuss two types of backyard beehives.

Paul Gore Garden Langstroth Hive: Beekeeper Leonard L. will discuss urban beekeeping and finding a good place to keep bees in the Boston Area.
